Privacy Policy
At Helmet, we don’t track you, ever. That is the essence of our Privacy Policy. Most other browsers and security tools build profiles of your behavior to sell ads or 'improve' their AI. We architected Helmet so we don't even have the ability to see your history.
1. No Collection of Personal Information
Helmet does not collect, store, or share any personal information. We do not require an account to use the browser. We do not know who you are, what your email address is, or where you live. Your IP address is never associated with any identity on our infrastructure by default. Since Helmet is delivered exclusively through the Apple Mac App Store, it follows Apple's privacy policy. Only 'Data Not Linked to You' is required to provide payment methods and product licensing.
2. Browser Firewall & URL Scoring
To protect you, Helmet evaluates every URL before it loads. This process is 'Privacy-First'. When a URL is checked against threat intelligence feeds (like VirusTotal), the request is proxied through an anonymization layer. We do not associate your machine ID with the URLs you visit. Unlike traditional browsers that send your full history to 'Safe Browsing' servers, Helmet processes as much as possible locally on your Mac.
3. Local Storage Only
Your browsing history, bookmarks, passwords (via Keychain), and firewall decision memory are stored exclusively on your device. We do not provide a 'cloud sync' feature because cloud sync is often the primary vector for data leaks. Your data stays on your Apple Silicon hardware.
4. Technical & Diagnostic Data
We may receive completely anonymous crash reports or performance metrics (e.g., 'Application crashed at memory address X'). These reports contain no URLs, no personal files, and no identifying metadata. You can opt-out of these in Settings at any time.
5. Third-Party Intelligence Feeds
Helmet integrates with premium threat intelligence providers. When the browser requests a 'Score' for a site, it sends only the domain or a cryptographic hash of the URL. These third parties never receive your identity, your browser's unique fingerprint, or your IP address.
6. No Cookies or Tracking Pixels
The Helmet website uses no cookies at all — no advertising trackers, no tracking pixels, no Google Analytics, and no third-party marketing cookies — and the browser itself contains none either. We set no persistent identifiers in your browser and run no visit analytics; this is detailed in the Website Privacy Policy below. Your only local setting — your chosen site language — is kept in your device's local storage, which is not a cookie and never leaves your device. We believe your movement across the web should be your business alone.
Helmet Web Browser Firewall Website Privacy Policy
The sections above describe the Helmet browser. This section covers helmetbrowser.com — the website you are reading now — and explains exactly what happens when you visit it. In short: it sets no cookies and does not track you.
A. Scope & Data Controller
This Website Privacy Policy applies to helmetbrowser.com. The data controller is Rezolvnet Soluções em Informática Ltda. It is governed by Brazil's LGPD and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, the GDPR.
B. No Cookies
This website sets no cookies of any kind — not strictly-necessary, not analytics, not advertising, and none from third parties. So there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner. The only thing kept on your device is your chosen site language, stored in your browser's local storage (helmet-lang); that is not a cookie, never leaves your device, and identifies no one.
C. No Analytics or Visit Tracking
We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party analytics, set no tracking pixels, and do not record visit events, build behavioral profiles, or assign you any persistent or anonymous identifier. Nothing about your visit is ever sold, shared with advertisers, or used to track you across other websites.
D. Server Logs
Like any web server, our hosting may briefly process your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use it to identify you, associate it with your browsing, or retain it for analytics.
E. Your Rights
Under Brazil's LGPD and the EU/EEA GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data. Because this website deliberately sets no cookies and collects no identifying data, there is normally nothing tied to you to retrieve or erase.
